I found this amazing spot just randomly walking around Shinjuku. Spent about 2 hrs here and had some great drinks. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to someone who didn't speak Japanese.If you find yourself in this area, swing on into this place. 5 Just be prepared to wait for a table if your group is larger than 4 people. It's a popular place with the locals.

Started in 1951, this bar has been visited by many well known Japanese including Yukio Mishima. Interesting interior with their Italian, Russian, Spanish inspired food menu. Try their original drink called Donkaku (Donzoko-cocktail). Highly recommended.
